Speaker's Self-Evaluation

Date ____________________

Lecture Topic ____________________

(Note: The sheet is designed to help you evaluate your own classroom lecture. In practice sessions, have someone be the "prof" and introduce you. You should handle the situation just as if you were in a real classroom: introduction, content, gospel, questions and comment cards. Have the staff ask questions that students might ask. Rotate responsibilities so that everyone gets a turn at being prof, speaker and student.

After the "class" is over, give the staff a few moments to fill out their evaluations. Then verbally discuss the following questions with your team and record the answers. Speaker should gather and keep critique sheets from staff.)

 1)         What things do I think I did well? (You tell the staff.)

2)         What things do the staff think I did well? (They tell you.)

3)         What things do I feel need improvement? (You tell the staff.)

4)         What things do the staff feel need improvement? (They tell you.)
