It has always been amazing to me how the Lord moves: convicting, converting and calling men to do His work. He brings people to Himself from different backgrounds, molds them into a vessel He can use, and ministers through them.  Carroll Hill is such a man. I met him when he was a teenager. I had been called to be pastor at East Corinth Baptist Church in Maine. My wife and I were young; I was only 23 years old. The teens seemed to identify with us and many of them were saved. There was a real move from God in the church.  When I first met Carroll, I would not have thought of him as being a missionary. However, his book reveals the way God has led him. He has been devoted to Christ; the Lord Jesus Christ is his first love. He has also been devoted to his wife, Cathy, and his family. They are special to him. He has been devoted to the native people of this country. One only has to read this book, hear him speak, or just be with him for awhile and you know he loves the native people. When a man will weep because there is no one to send to tell them the Good News; when a man will pray, crying to God on their behalf, it is more than a show. His heart bleeds for these people. It is no wonder to me that he has become the General Director of Northern Canada Evangelical Mission. 

May our hearts be stirred to reach them. We need to be moved like the Lord Jesus Christ, “when He saw the multitudes, He was moved with compassion on them, because they fainted, and were scattered abroad, as sheep having no shepherd.” Matthew 9:36
