Man was made with a spiritual side to his nature for contact with Goo and the spiritual world.  So many today take good care of their bodies with food and exercise and of their minds with education.  But the spiritual part of them is ignored.  They are incomplete people.  In fact, as the proverb says "The good has become the enemy of the best." The good things that we enjoy in an affluent society have become the enemy of the best that comes through living contact with God.

It is like someone who has filled his stomach with candyfloss and then passes by a steak because he has no appetite.  God has made us to operate fully on every level of our personality-body, mind and spirit.  Don't be content with less.  You are only two-thirds alive.  Don't be sub-normal.
