Rusty Wright Lecture Series Operations Manual

Personnel: How to Effectively Utilize the Available Workforce

A.Motivation: Benefits of Using These Guidelines

    1. You will effectively involve and challenge all available Christian students

    2. You will be able to distribute the workload equitably.

B. Directions: Guidelines for Effectively Utilizing Available Personnel

    1. Select a qualified student or volunteer to serve as Personnel Director

    2. Make a master list of every available Christian student or volunteer including name, address, phone, year and major.

    3. Meet with the directors of other Christian organizations to determine available work force.

    4. Have each committee head secure approval from the Personnel Director before challenging someone
for his/her committee. Consider volunteers’ talents and de-sires in assigning jobs.

    5. Distribute your workers in such a way that no one has conflicting responsibilities or serves on more
than one major committee at a time. (Note: Some responsibilities are temporary, so as soon as a
one’s responsibility is complete, he or she can be reassigned if possible.)

    6. Your goal should be to involve every Christian student on your campus and/or every available
        volunteer in your ministry area.
